This is the main developer documentation for KIM internals. It shows how to use the classes within to write your own IM client or to improve the existing clients. Kim provides

• Completely system and gui independant protocol implementations in a flexible interface.
• The kit protocol (native client server protocol)
• The peer protocol (native peer to peer protocol)
• The ICQv7 protocol
• The AIM/Toc protocol
• With more protocols to come.. jabber, msn, yahoo are all planned
• An XML Parser with a nice c++ interface based on expat
